Hamed Haddadi (Persian: حامد حدادی, born May 19, 1985 in Ahvaz) is an Iranian professional basketball player with the Memphis Grizzlies of the National Basketball Association. [2] He plays at the center position and is 2.18 m (7'2") in height. Haddadi is the first Iranian to play in the NBA and is the second to play professional basketball in the United States after Behdad Sami.
Soon after the founding of the modern University of Jondishapur, Dr. Tal'at Basāri was appointed vice chancellor of the university, the first woman to reach such a post in any university in Iran.
Malileh Farshid: One of Iran's first and youngest female architects. She designed the Ahvaz Sports Complex. Her wish was to have it ready for Ahvaz to host the 1984 Summer Olympics.
